The gothic death-towers

A goth’s wet dream is spelled “Basílica del Voto Nacional” and is a massive church built on a hill in the northern old town of Quito, all in gothic style. For people with no nerves, it is possible to climb its towers. The climb includes a passage across a rickety plank over the main roof and climbing steep stairs and almost vertical ladders both inside and outside the towers to the top (or not to the top but at least as high as they allow visitors). A fantastic panorama view over Quito awaits the brave who made it all the way up.
