Bolivia

So have arrived to Bolivia. Bolivia is normally where the world's highest (put almost any random noun here) is located. For example: the world's highest lake, world's highest ski-slope, world's highest capital, world's highest international airport, world's highest city, world's highest forest, world's highest road tunnel, world's highest golf course and much more. Amongst the very few things they don't have is the world's highest mountain.

Bolivia was also the topic of discussion in 2007, when FIFA wanted to ban international matches on altitudes over 2500 metres. This would leave a mere two stadiums in Bolivia where international football could be played. FIFA had to back out from its proposal, which came about after the influencial Brazilian side Flamengo only played 2-2 in Copa Libertadores against the Bolivian side Real Potosí in freezing rain at 4000 metres. The brazilians needed oxygen during the game.
